Coronavirus (COVID 19) is a viral infection that is currently having a global impact in terms of the speed of its spread across the world.

Tasmania has not been isolated from the spread of this virus that has caused large numbers of people to become unwell and a large number of deaths.

If you are seeking to understand COVD 19 and what support you can access if required the following information is available to you.

A Tasmanian Public Health Hotline has been set up as the main point of contact for the Tasmanian Community on the coronavirus pandemic.

There are a range of support services that may be available for people impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic include:

  • emergency accommodation;
  • accommodation support;
  • accommodation support for frontline workers;
  • isolation grants;
  • emergency relief; and
  • financial hardship.
